IK Multimedia iRig Video Overview
The IK Multimedia iRig Mic Video universal digital shotgun microphone lets vloggers, YouTubers, and run-and-gun videographers capture focused audio at high resolution to virtually any video or audio app on a Mac Windows computer or an iOS Android mobile device.
As a digital USB microphone, the iRig Mic Video operates at up to 24-bit 96 kHz and works via USB power. As an analog mic, it is powered by a CR1632 coin cell battery (available separately) and connects to your camera via a dedicated 3.5mm camera output jack. Either way, a multicolor LED helps you check levels and the 3.5mm headphone port allows monitoring of real-time audio or playback signal.
For easy setup, the iRig Mic Video includes a snap-on magnetic mount, a shoe mount, and multiple connection cables—Lightning, 3.5mm, micro-USB, and USB Type-C. It also comes with a windscreen for reduction of wind noise during outdoor shoots.
